What the Final Price Depends On
- Exposed vs. concealed wiring. Wiring on the wall surface using cable ducts is faster and cheaper. Concealing it in the wall requires chasing, which takes more time and often necessitates replastering the wall afterwards.
- Wall and ceiling type. Working on concrete or stone walls is more difficult than on drywall.
- Weight and complexity of the device. A heavy chandelier or a multi-part light fixture requires more secure mounting and more time.
- Condition of existing wiring. In older apartments, the technician often has to fix existing problems first.
Why You Shouldn't Do Electrical Work Yourself
Replacing a socket might seem simple, but an incorrectly connected wire or a loose contact may only show up months later: the socket heats up, the wire melts, and a fire risk arises. Not to mention the risk of electric shock. The price of electrical work is often so low that it is definitely not worth the risk.

Installing a new socket costs 40₾. If there is no nearby wiring, wiring costs are added based on the meter: 13₾ for cable ducts, 20₾ per meter for wall chasing.
Why is the socket heating up?
The most common causes are loose contacts or overloading, for example, when many high-power appliances are plugged into one socket. A hot socket is a fire hazard: stop using it and call an electrician.
Do I need to change the wiring in an old apartment?
Wiring in older buildings is often aluminum and is not designed for modern loads. If the circuit breaker trips frequently, sockets heat up, or lights flicker, have an electrician check it.
